Your songs inspired me and gave testimony to my spirit, peace and joy.
To complete my fantastic evening I had the pleasure of chatting with CD&Y...they were so gracious and down to earth. I applaud you. "LET THEM HEAR YOU" May you be blessed as you pursue your dream. I will now start searching for attending the next concert. Reply to this

Hello to all of our Fans. How do you like our new site? It is truly a pleasure to speak to you all. Thomas, Victor and I are doing fine. As you know we have gone through a name change. It's really funny. In Detroit a lot of fans would see us on the street and say, Hey the Three Mo'Tenors! Even though they know that we are promoting and singing under our own names. Can anyone explane to us why the fans still call us by the old name? I'm just curious. We want people to know our names and not be anonymous.
Recently, An impressario of a major opera house in the U.S. said, "It's good that you are singing under your own name." He also told me, "He was telling one of the members of IL Divo, You better start marketing your name because they can start another group." He felt that the decision to use our names was better for us in the long run." He loved Cook, Dixon and Young Vol. 1.
We are so greatful to all of you for standing by us the last 2 years. Look to our new wibsite for upcoming events. Thomas, Victor and I are just getting started. Can some one answer my question about why people still refere to our old name when they see us in person? Tenor Rodrick Dixon Reply to this
Thanks for the new web site, it looks great and I find it very user friendly. With the new web site in place, I think people will find it easier to make the transistion from Three Mo' Tenors to Cook, Dixon and Young.
I wasn't on board leading up to your name change, however, I must say your name change identifies and promotes who you are.

Hi Rodrick, I had the pleasure to meet you at the Reisterstown Plaza in Baltimore, Maryland last November. I also attened your concert at the Meyerhoff November 25, 2005. In regard to your concern about the groups new name, The African American community relies heavily on word of mouth instead of obtaining the information for themselves. Once this happens it is extremely difficult to change what we know unless of course it is through word of mouth again. I would strongly suggest bumbarding all form of media not only internet and radio but popular television stations and newpapers that cater to the african american community. For example, when I attended the meet and greet at Reisterstown I felt that radio station 95.9 did not heavily publicize your appearance. Additionally, because PBS/MPT sponsored the concert it was not properly publized througout the community which would have greatly benefited from CD&Y outstanding concert.
Because of legal constraints, I believe the group is no longer affiliated with the name the "Three Mo'Tenors" that is unfortunate but I also believe that with the right marketing strategies the public will begin to know and love you just by who you are, "COOK, DIXON AND YOUNG.
Just know that there are those that will continue to support and follow CD&Y (your fans).
I as well as my family and friends eagerly await your return to Baltimore, Maryland. Stay encouraged. All the Best! Jamie I. Alston Reply to this

Are you serious Mr. Dixon? You must credit 3 Mo' Tenors with being a vehicle for your current success. It was not until today that I found out that Cook, Dixon & Young were no longer part of that grouping. I logged on to purchase a copy of the DVD you did as the 3 Mo' Tenors only to discover that that relationship has apparently dissolved. I will always be a fan and will follow you brothers as best I can. but I'd really like to get my hands on a copy of that DVD you did as part of the 3 Mo's. Anyway, I do understand how things change, grow and evolve. I'm dying to find out what you brothers will be like now that you're free to be Cook, Dixon & Young. When I 1st got to see the DVD I watched it 3 times that evening, growing more fonder with each viewing. I've been singing your praised ever since. Now to my dismay I see that you were performing here in DC just last month. How can my luck be so bad? Well it's not all bad because I did find you guys and have your new career to look forward to. I am so glad to see the new web-site for Cook, Dixon and Young. It looks great!
Ron, I believe it is going to take some time for fans to adjust to the name of Cook, Dixon and Young. For so long there was very limited information on what was happening with you guys. Information regarding the group Three Mo Tenors was readily available - but nothing regarding Cook, Dixon and Young until recently. Many of us feared that the group disbanded.
I was made aware that you were singing and promoting under your own names when the old web-site for Cook, Dixon and Young came on the scene. I remember how excited I was to see the web-site then terribly dissapointed when fans were not receiving feedback and wondered if something bad had happened.
I received a breath of fresh air when information on Thomas Young's web-site gave fans insight on the groups well being.
Hopefully the new web-site for Cook, Dixon and Young will help put an end to fans addressing you as "Three Mo Tenors".

As for the name change, since I'm already a fan, you could call yourselves anything and I'll still follow you (smile). But I also still "market" you to friends and family who haven't heard of you, yet, and I would suppose that would be the challenge -- capturing prospective fans who haven't seen your PBS specials or been to a concert...?
Anyway, congratulations, again! I'll be following the site and the schedule faithfully to catch you when you are near me.

I think that the old name added to the concept of three African-American tenors singing opera and a whole lot mo'. When I was flipping through the channels and stumbled on the show in 2000, I saw it as a new concept and it took a while to actually become fans of the three of you. I got "hungry" for more and was able to find other work that you all did individually. So for me I associated the old name with a new concept, but now I am fans of you individually so the new name sticks with me. And honestly, I sort of stumbled over the new name at first. Triptych - A Celebration of the Negro Spiritual is truly an outrstanding work of art. I received my copy today and have listened to it three times aready. Though every peice is beautifully presented, I am especially fond of 1) Amazing Grace, 2)This may be the Last Time, 3) Swing Low and 4)Precious Lord. I pray much success for you on this CD. I would be remiss if I did not give honor to the magician on the piano---makes my toes twinkle! May God continue to Bless each of you. Reply to this

As Mr. Young might remember, I am a HUGE fan of all 3 of you guys! If there is such a thing close to vocal "perfection" it is Cook, Dixon and Young! As a voice instructor in Wimberley, TX I play your DVDs for students to inspire them! Reply to this

It's good to see new work from the tenors. I wish we could get then to tour more with the variety of music we expect from the first two shows! I have followed then with my family in tow ever since I first heard them.
The web site does not reflect the excitement that these guys present to all who hear them. It needs to be more alive and the 2006 and all other dated information needs to be taken off. Let's update the Web site and make it ROCK like the tenors! Reply to this

Over 5 years ago we were introduced to the talents of CD&Y at the Touhill in St Louis MO and we were HOOKED! Very disappointed when their concert was canceled at the Fox - since then we have had to watch their DVD - just about once a week - always entertaining. I know that they do other projects but will they ever get together again- such talent - individually and collectively- they are sorely missed. God has richly blessed each of you and may He continue to allow you to share your gifts with the world. Thanks - anxiously awaiting word of upcoming concerts. Reply to this

Hey guys, my name is Jason T. Garrett from "Philly". I had the treat of seeing you perform as a young man both separately and collectively as you are now. See I am an entertainer, vocalist, self expressionist. I came up through the freedom theater. You guys have really encouraged and inspired me as an entertainer. I am part of a quartet. We go by the name ACOUSTIC.We have new life because of you guys. When i saw you, i was able to take my unit in a whole different direction. If your ever in Philly again, look us up. We would love to have you for one of our performances. - singdatsong@gmail.com Reply to this
